Family and Consumer Science I
Open to any student in Grades 9 ‑ 12.
Students will have one semester of Foods and Nutrition and one semester
of Clothing and Textiles.
Family and Consumer Science II (FACS II) Prerequisite: FACS I
Course content includes Advanced Food Preparation, Housing and Interior
Design and Consumer Education.
Family and Consumer Science III (FACS III)
Prerequisite: Student must be a senior
Course content: Child Development and Parenting
The first semester will focus on caring for children, nurturing children
and guiding children. The second semester, students will actively work
with children and teachers in the local day care center, preschool, Head
Start, and Kindergarten classes.
Adult Living
Prerequisite: Must be a junior or senior
Students will learn about Family and Human Relations. Major focus is on
dating relationships, marriage, human sexuality, childbirth, and care.
