Keyboarding

We have implemented an exciting new program at our Elementary. Beginning last year, the 5th and 6th grade students are taking keyboarding classes twice a week.  During this class they will learn the proper techniques for keyboarding as well as other basic computer skills.  Currently, our goals are to keep our fingers on the home row and to keep our eyes on our work.  As the year progresses, and we learn all of the letters, we will work on larger projects and possibly speed.

     In future years, I hope to expand into an after school computer club as well as other great activities.
